Eight of Pakistan's most iconic summits, from the world's second-highest mountain to the golden glow of Spantik. Filter by district or browse the full collection.

Rising majestically at the head of the Godwin-Austen Glacier above Concordia, K2 is the second-highest mountain on Earth and widely considered mountaineering's ultimate challenge. Approached via the legendary Baltoro Glacier, its sheer pyramid of ice and granite dominates the Karakoram skyline.

Standing directly across the Godwin-Austen Glacier from K2, Broad Peak is the 12th highest mountain in the world. Named for its massive summit crest spanning over 1.5 kilometers in length, it offers an imposing wall of ice and one of the finest panoramic viewpoints in the Karakoram range.

Also known as K5, Gasherbrum I is the 11th highest peak in the world. Nestled deep within the Gasherbrum massif at the southern end of Baltoro, its summit remains hidden from view until travelers reach the upper reaches of Concordia and the Gasherbrum South Glacier.

The 13th highest mountain in the world and third highest of the Gasherbrum group, Gasherbrum II is often recognized as the most approachable 8,000-meter peak in the Karakoram. Its graceful, sharp pyramid stands guard along the border, boasting pristine ice routes.

The western anchor of the great Himalayan range, Nanga Parbat is the 9th highest peak in the world. It features the astonishing Rupal Face, which rises 4,600 meters in a single vertical sweep — the highest mountain face on Earth — while its Raikot Face looks down upon the idyllic Fairy Meadows.

First cataloged by the Great Trigonometrical Survey of British India as K1 ('Karakoram 1'), Masherbrum is the 22nd highest mountain in the world. Located in the Ghanche district, it is prominently viewed during treks through the Hushe Valley and from the upper Baltoro Glacier.

Dominating the Hunza and Nagar valleys, Rakaposhi is globally celebrated for its uninterrupted vertical rise: almost 6,000 meters from the Hunza River bed to its glistening summit in just 11 kilometers. It creates an unforgettable backdrop along the Karakoram Highway.

Named for its luminous golden marble wall that glows warmly at sunset, Spantik is a renowned 7,000-meter peak in the Spantik-Sosbun Mountains. Thanks to its relatively moderate Southeast Ridge, it serves as the premier training summit for mountaineers aiming for 8,000ers.
